Measurement of crankshaft deflection

Messung der Kurbelwellenatmung

The alignment of an internal combustion engine can be described by the deflection of the crankshaft. This also gives an indication of any damage or signs of wear. Crankshaft deflection is measured with an electronic measuring device (DI-5). Here, the distance between the crankshaft cheeks and how it changes during rotation is measured and recorded.
